??: He is able to absorb people's energy! Usually of a dark (stuff generated by negative emotions) or magical nature but he can take just plain like energy-levels energy too. If it's given willingly he doesn't have to be touching the other person to take it, but if it's unwilling he needs to either be holding their hand or touching their head.
??: If what energies he takes in is dark or corrupt, he'll usually transform into his adult form, and he can purify it. Stealing away corrupt energy can also leave the other person feeling less corrupt (basically negative feelings are lessened). But while he's working to burn through the impurities he tends to act more impulsive and, well.. evil, but it can be hard to tell since his normal behavior in adult form is still pretty questionable.
in adult form: When he successfully plays on a characters fears or hits on something they find emotionally painful, it can be accompanied by a thrill, excitement, strange good feelings even if they aren't normally a masochist. This is basically equivalent to Roz's thing where her physical beatings are followed by emotional clarity after.

The cellar he woke up in actually belonged to one of the buildings that's part of Hardwood University. He just got really lost before he could find Rozaline.
